Crater Lake

This view is of a small volcanic lake on the western end of Boreal Ridge. The photographer, Eadweard Muybridge, named it Lake Flora, probably after his much-younger wife, Flora Shallcross Stone. At some point the name was changed to Crater Lake. The present-day Flora Lake is east of there between Lake Angela and Azalea Lake. Photo location: 39° 19.478'N 120° 21.408'W
