Miller's Bluff (Hart 171)

Alfred A Hart 171 - Miller's Bluff near Crystal Lake - This view, just east of the I-80/Hwy 20 junction, shows both the path of the original tracks and the current tracks, laid in 1925 in a new tunnel. Old Man Mountain, bearing a resemblance to Half Dome, is blocked from view today. The location was named for Edward H. Miller, a friend and later associate of the CPRR founders. The name didn't stick, and the bluff is unnamed today. Photo location 39° 19.511'N 120° 35.693'W
