Bierstadt 1249 - Snowshed between Tunnels 7 & 8 - This view was taken by either Charles, Edward, or Albert Bierstadt. They all took photographs, and Albert painted many scenes of the west and his native New York. It is cropped tight to show the extensive work needed to make the sheds rugged enough to endure the winter.
